With cooling bay breezes and warm sand, Rockport Beach Park needs to be at the top of your list of places to visit. This park offers 71 covered picnic cabanas with BBQ grills for an afternoon of cooking with the friends or family. There are also playgrounds, volleyball courts, walking trails, 4 boat ramps, fishing piers, bird nesting sanctuaries, restrooms, and showers. 

 
A family favorite, Goose Island State Park is surrounded by the St. Charles and Aransas Bays and is located north of Rockport in Aransas County. The shoreline is comprised of a concrete bulkhead, oyster shells, mud flats, and marsh grass. The main recreational activities are camping, excellent birding, and fishing. Other activities include picnicking, boating (motors allowed), nature study, wildlife observation, and photography. Tours: Guided nature hikes are held year round. Guided birding tours are held from January through April.


Bring the pets and the kids to this 100 acre park featuring an off leash dog park, playgrounds, hiking, and a variety of sports fields. Your pups will love playing with new friends at the separate large and small dog areas complete with water stations and benches. Take a hike on one of the wilderness trails or even reserve the pavilions for a birthday party!
